OT: Chandelier size?

this is OT, but i know someone here can help me!
how do i determine the proper size chandelier for a room?
i am eyeing a beautiful old chandelier on ebay, but i don't know
if it will be big enough for my living room. anyone know the magic
formula? the room is roughly 15' x 15' with 12' ceilings.

Just measure the feet with a measuring tape and see if its enough room from the measuring where your head and the ceiling height is
