I'll be in San Francisco in early January, and I'm wondering whether
it's worthwhile going to the Espirit Outlet in San Francisco. And is
there anything else interesting in that part of town (Illinois Street at
about 18th St.)?

TIA

I believe the Esprit outlet closed down at least a year ago...

AFAIK it is very closed. We went to the liquidation. Seemed like a couple
years ago. They were even selling the displays.

Sorry! It used to be really fun to shop there, especially when Esprit ran
the indoor/outdoor cafe.

You might want to try the Esprit outlet in Napa, which I think is still
open. Although I haven't been there in several months, it was open after
the one in SF closed.

I was just at the Napa Outlets a couple of weeks ago...and the Esprit outlet is
no longer there, either.

Sorry. If it makes you feel better, the Cosmetics Company/EL Outlet is still
there!

Oh, thanks for saving me a trip! I thought I had heard they were
closed, but it's still listed in the latest guidebooks and in
superpages.com.

THat was the first outlet I ever went to...20 years ago. My grandma took me.
It was in some industrial part of the city. Great fun.

Me too!! I remember how I made such a big deal out of the outlet and I was
so excited about going. I think I went there in 1986, during the height of
the Esprit logo madness. I was a total Esprit (and Guess) girl in
elementary school.

We used to go there so often we were regulars at the cafe -- and Esprit asked
me to model for them. I loved that place.
