I'm not sure why your friend thinks a genuine DKNY bag can't be made from a
synthetic leather-like material. (As far as I know, Donna Karan hasn't
taken a public oath to never use vinyl.<G>) I know that all sorts of things
get knocked off in this world, but DKNY isn't exactly a high end item in
general; it's her "affordable" line. As such, I wouldn't think it gets
ripped off as much as, say, the regular Donna Karan line.
If the seller has good feedback, I would assume she was truthful about the
item. The bottom line, for ebay or any other purchase for that matter, is
that you should never pay more than you are comfortable spending on an item.
It gets complicated when you are paying for a name because it *is* so hard
to tell if the item is genuine.
I hope you get pleasure out of the bag and that you don't fret too much
about the possibility of it being a knock-off.

Post by LauraPost by CoFarbAre you asking if it is a genuine DKNY product and not a copy? Or are you
asking if it is genuine leather vs. a manmade product?
Hi, I wanted to know it it is a genuine DKNY. I dont mind if it isnt leather
as long as it is genuine. My friend said it cant be DKNY as it isnt leather.
Are there any signs to tell if it is a genuine DKNY bag?
Thanks for your help
Post by CoFarbIf it is made of leather, it is probably marked/labeled as such somewhere
inside the bag. (Leather doesn't always smell like a cow and it
definitely
Post by CoFarbdoesn't have to be soft.) DKNY is Donna Karan's less expensive line.
Even
Post by CoFarbin her designer line, she isn't obligated to use real leather; she can use
vinyl or whatever other mateials she chooses.
