VERIZON and SCORESENSE - Corporate RIPOFFS!
The greed and arrogance of Verizon and their ilk are already well known, and
this Scoresense is off to a great start!
Both of these companies tried to rob me (and no doubt many others) of small
sums over the past month.
They figure that most people won't notice their scam charges, or will not
act if they do.
A dollar here and a dollar there - but with many thousands of customers, it
amounts to grand theft!
I called Verizon directory assistance (411) to find a phone number. They
could not provide it, so there should be no charge, but
I WAS charged $1.50 on my phone bill. I complained and they said to pay it
on this bill, and I would be credited for it on the
next bill. Doing this, these thieves don't get to keep my $1.50, but DO get
to use it interest-free for one month! So I'll just pay
them $1.50 LESS for the current bill and be done with it!
Scoresense is an on-line credit report/monitoring service that offers "100%
FREE 3 credit scores." That's a LIE! I went to their
website to get my "free" credit scores, but although I declined membership,
they enrolled me anyway. I then had to contact
them to terminate the membership and cancel their charges. In spite of this,
when I got my bank statement, there was a $1.00
charge from Scoresense, although I do not recall ever having given them my
bank account information to make a debit. Illegal,
no? I called and raised hell with these crooks, and they said they would
credit my account with the $1.00. They did, but it took
several days, during which time my dollar was in their hands to use as they
wish.
See what white-collar crime Occupy Wall Street is opposing?
